Scott Rankin has been the Creative Director of Australia’s leading arts for social change organisation Big hART for 25 years. His projects have been included in the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Ten Days on the Island and Edinburgh festivals, and toured Dublin, London, Netherlands, Sweden, Iceland, South Africa, New Zealand and Germany. Scott’s most recent theatre works include O, Ghosts in the Scheme, Blue Angel, Hipbone Sticking Out, Namatjira, Ngapartji Ngapartji and Nyuntu Ngali; and he has been the Executive Producer of Hurt (SBS), DRIVE (ABC1), Nothing Rhymes with Ngapartji (ABC1), Knot @ Home (8 part SBS Doco Series) and 900 Neighbours (ABC1). Scott has won 3 Green Room Awards for Best Direction and Most Innovative Production. Big hART has worked in over 50 communities and received over 45 awards including the 2017 Telstra Business Award of the Year and Charity of the Year in Tasmania, a World Health Organisation award, an AFI, 8 Coalition of Australian Heads of Government awards and the Myer Performing Arts Group Award.
